The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Financial Management: Manage and oversee daily financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable, and receivables.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Prepare and maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and financial reports.
2. Bank Reconciliations & Payment Processing: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are promptly addressed.
Oversee payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
3. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other relevant tax regulations.
Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
4. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management.
Provide variance analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
5. Accounts Receivable & Payable Management: Monitor and follow up on accounts receivables, ensuring timely collection from customers.
Manage accounts payable, negotiating terms with vendors and suppliers as needed.
6. Auditing: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and support audit queries.
7. Inventory & Cost Management: Work with other departments to maintain accurate inventory records and cost allocations, especially for exports and freight services. Review and validate freight costs and export documents related to financial transactions.
8. Team Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, to ensure the accuracy of billing and financial records related to freight forwarding and export activities. Support junior staff with training and mentoring as needed.
