The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Finding prospective customers and identifying business opportunities to promote Organization’s Services primarily for heavy lifts, breakbulk and special containers.

• Developing Special Container volumes primarily in the given region (ex. Mumbai / Chennai).

• Developing a new customer base as well as retaining existing customers.

• Follow up with clients on proposals and quotes offered and convert inquiries into firm bookings.

• Achieving set commercial targets (volumes/revenues).

• Preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the department head.

• Engage in proactive search, qualification, development, and engagement of new customers.

• Support existing and new clients after the sale.

• Exercising Sales Strategies consistently across the assigned zone.

• Exceptional track record in driving sales performance.

• A candidate should have in-depth knowledge of shipping lines, non-vessel operating common carriers, and freight forwarding products, such as Sea/Air Import/Export, Project Cargo, ODC, Ro-Ro, Break Bulk, and Commodities.

• Candidate should have experience in Sales & Marketing with knowledge/contacts of project forwarders (local & multi-national will be an added advantage).

• The candidate must be familiar with the latest industry trends influencing the areas of marketing, sales, customer service, and operations.

• A team player who is willing to work as a team is required.

Graduate in any discipline

Industry Specific Qualification (If Any)

• A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry is required.

• Ability to identify opportunities for selling different project businesses

• Fluent in English and the local language.

• Presentable, Good Communication Skills, Good Analytical Skills
