• The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to drive business growth in the assigned region.
• This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships with Customer, and overseeing the sales team to meet or exceed revenue goals.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the freight forwarding industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of sales success in logistics or transportation services.
• Candidate should lead by example- having strong individual performance and capability to develop individuals reporting to them.
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
• Develop and implement sales strategies formulated by senior management aligned with company goals by Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth & executing them by acquiring clients and developing their business.
• Achieving and exceeding management directed and mutually agreed Revenue targets set by Senior Management. Setting Targets for team reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Client, serve as the primary point of contact for major customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to meet client expectations and company profitability targets.
• Providing regular feedback and intelligence to Operations and Customer Service teams and create a collaborative environment to achieve organizations goals.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a regional sales team, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
• Monitor sales team performance, providing support to achieve individual and team targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region to expand the company’s customer base.
• Track and Report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Monitor and control the sales budget/marketing, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Organize and executive Marketing/Sales campaigns such as Customer events, Forum Presentations, Industry meets etc.
• Ensure Payments are collected within credit period and SOPs for credit, ethics, company policies are followed diligently.
Any Graduate. MBA will be an added advantage.
Industry Specific Qualification (If Any)
7+ years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry, with at least 3 years Team Management Experience.
